Hawk’s very first largescale project was working on the demolition of a huge office building in East London whilst simultaneously erecting a protection canopy over an unearthed section of Roman wall which would have encircled the city of Londinium back in the 4th century. The demolition has made way for part luxury high-spec student accommodation and part exhibition and café space.
Working alongside such a historic and priceless artefact required expert care and attention as not to damage or disturb the Roman wall. Our skilled operatives have been revisiting site over the past 5 years to provide scaffolding services assisting with the ongoing care and surveillance of the roman wall and more recently to assist with the installation of a glass viewing platform.
